Some Tips When Buying From An Area Rug Outlet Store by
I love those outlet stores! You can really find a good bargain on clothes and shoes. But have you ever thought of searching for home accessories?
Are you in the market for an area rug? If so, you are probably aware of the many options that you can add to your home. But before you get so excited that you buy the first thing you see, slow down for a minute. There are many ways that you can get the area rug that you want without having to spend an arm and a leg. The best way to do this is by heading to an area rug outlet. Although you may not be able to find one in your town, chances are that there is one close by.
Before you buy from an area rug outlet, you need to know just a little bit about this process. There are a few minor details that will go a long way in ensuring that you get a high quality, affordably priced rug.
First off, you should know that area rug outlets do not carry low quality pieces. Believe it or not, a lot of people do not consider buying from an outlet because they think that they are going to sacrifice quality just to save a few bucks. All in all, nothing could be further from the truth. When you buy from an outlet, you are simply getting the pick of area rugs that were not sold at other locations. It has nothing to do with the lack of quality.
Another thing to keep in mind is that area rug outlets are always restocking time after time. While this will vary based on the store that you are dealing with, you should not be in a hurry to buy. If you do not find something that suits your needs, ask an employee how often they get new area rugs in stock. You may be surprised to find out that a new shipment comes in once a week. If this is the case, you might as well slow down and wait for another batch to arrive. This is much better than buying something that you do not like.
And speaking of buying something that you don't like, make sure that you know the return policy before you purchase from an area rug outlet. In some cases, you will not be able to return your rug if it does not work out. But of course, some stores will offer you a full refund or store credit. It is important that you are aware of this because there is a chance that you will get the area rug home just to find out that you do not like the way that it looks.
If you want to save money, while still having access to a large selection, shopping at an area rug outlet may be the way to go. You may have to search around for an area rug outlet, but once you find one, you will be well on your way to updating every room in your home!

How do I prevent my lightweight cotton rug from sliding on a hardwood floor?
I have a thin, lightweight, 3x5 rug in my room. The floor is hardwood floor (but unwaxed). It is kind of like an "area-filler", so my room doesn't look so empty, therefore I don't want to put anything on top of it to anchor it down. Simply walking over it causes it to slip & slide and move around. What can I do to hold it in place? Do they sell anything for things like this?
Thank you!
Any flooring store or home center has these special thin mas that are used under rugs.. They seam "tacky" , but leave no residue. And when they get dirty naturally you toss then ib the washer and the " tackiness" comes back to reuse.. One CAUTION.. Get only the one meant for rugs over wood. Don t get the rubber mats that are sold in housewares, these can stain the wood. These are special for 2 reasons.. They allow the wood to breathe and they will not stain or discolor the wood if you have a oil based urethane on them.. GL
