How to wash orange pepper spray dye out of light fabric?!?
Without going into great detail, someone in my household decided to test my can of pepper spray directly at my light colored handmade curtains. The orange dye of the red pepper oil is very bright and I really want to wash it out, otherwise, I would have to buy new curtains because I don't have any fabric left to make a replacement panel.
The fabric is a cotton/polyester blend.
Is there any "pretreatment" that I can do -- soaking in any chemicals or household solutions? I know to be very careful to handle the fabric with rubber gloves, etc. - I just need to get the orange pepper oil splotches out.
Is it even possible?
